Arrow Maze Privacy Policy
Arrow Maze is a puzzle game. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no chat, and it never asks you to type personal information. This policy explains what the app collects automatically, why, which partners are involved, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
- We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location or any other information you would have to type in.
- The app uses Google's advertising SDK (AdMob) to show ads, and Google's Firebase to understand how the game is played, to catch crashes and to tune game settings remotely. These services process device identifiers and technical data described below.
- In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent screen is shown before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy inside the app.
- Your progress, coins and settings are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. What we collect
All of the following is collected automatically by the SDKs listed in section 4. None of it is entered by you.
| Category | Examples | Collected by |
|---|---|---|
| Device and app information | Device model, operating system version, screen size, language, time zone, app version, whether the app is a test build | AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics |
| Identifiers | Google Advertising ID (resettable), Firebase installation ID and Analytics app-instance ID (per-install, resettable by clearing app data or reinstalling) | AdMob, Firebase |
| Approximate location | Country or region derived from your IP address. The app does not request location permission and never reads GPS. | AdMob, Firebase Analytics |
| Gameplay events | Level started / completed / failed / left, level number and difficulty band, time on a level, taps, misses, hints and erases used, coins earned and spent, screens opened, settings changed, in-app purchase completed (product and price) | Firebase Analytics |
| Advertising events | Ad requested, loaded, shown, closed, reward granted, estimated ad revenue per impression | AdMob, Firebase Analytics |
| Crash and performance data | Stack traces, the level and screen open at the time of a crash, device state, app version | Firebase Crashlytics |
| Purchase records | Order and product identifiers for in-app purchases, handled by Google Play Billing | Google Play |
3. Why we collect it
- To show ads that keep the game free — banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads (legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest in funding the app).
- To understand and improve the game — which levels are too hard, where players stop, whether a feature is used (legitimate interest).
- To find and fix crashes (legitimate interest).
- To tune the game without an update — Firebase Remote Config delivers settings such as ad frequency; it does not collect data about you beyond the fetch request itself.
- To deliver what you bought — coins, boosters or the Remove Ads option (performance of a contract).
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to identify you as a person.
4. Third-party services
Each partner processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) | Serving ads; measuring ad performance | Google advertising · Google privacy policy · AdMob ad-technology providers |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Presenting the consent screen and storing your choice on the device | Google privacy policy |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Gameplay and usage analytics | Firebase privacy and security |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting | Firebase privacy and security |
| Firebase Remote Config | Remote game settings | Firebase privacy and security |
| Google Play Billing | In-app purchases | Google privacy policy |
Google may use the advertising data it collects to personalise ads across apps and websites, according to your consent choices and your device's advertising settings.
5. Advertising and consent
Arrow Maze shows a banner during gameplay from level 6, an occasional full-screen ad after completing a level from level 10, and rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for hints, erases, hearts or coins. Rewarded ads only play when you tap a button that says so.
EEA, UK and Switzerland. Before the first ad request we show Google's consent screen (User Messaging Platform). You can accept, refuse, or choose per purpose and per partner. If you refuse, Google may show non-personalised ads or no ads at all; the game itself keeps working. You can reopen the consent options at any time from Settings → Privacy in the app.
Everywhere else. Ads may be personalised using your advertising ID unless you have opted out in your device settings (see section 9).
Purchasing Remove Ads stops the banner and full-screen ads. Rewarded ads remain available as an option because they give you something in return; they are never played automatically.
6. In-app purchases
Purchases are made through Google Play. We receive the product bought and an order identifier so we can grant the item and restore it if you reinstall; we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its policies.
7. Data stored on your device
Your level progress, coins, booster credits, daily-challenge state and settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion, theme) are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to us. Uninstalling the app deletes them. There is no cloud save.
8. Retention
- Firebase Analytics event data is retained for 14 months, then aggregated; identifiers are deleted at the same time.
- Crashlytics crash reports are retained for 90 days.
- AdMob retains advertising data according to Google's policies.
- Your consent choice is stored on your device until you change it or clear the app's data.
9. Your choices and rights
- Consent options (EEA/UK/CH): Settings → Privacy in the app.
- Personalised ads: Android Settings → Google → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalisation.
- Stop all collection: uninstalling the app ends collection; clearing the app's data resets the identifiers described above.
- Access, deletion, objection, portability: if you are in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, California or another jurisdiction that grants these rights, email [email protected] from the device in question and include your Firebase app-instance ID or advertising ID if you have it (we cannot otherwise link data to you). You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
- California residents: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the ad serving described above; you can limit that through the consent and device settings listed here.
10. Children
Arrow Maze is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ad requests are not tagged for child-directed treatment; if you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we will help.
11. Security and international transfers
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and processed by Google on infrastructure that may be located outside your country, including the United States. Google relies on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for such transfers. We hold no copy of your data on servers of our own.
12. Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you inside the app. The current version always lives at arrow.testiq.io/privacy.
